Welcome to Project Logos! Throughout this project, we’re gonna travel through the Bible, from Adam to Noah to Moses in the desert, all the way through the Kings, the Songs of Solomon and the prophets. In short, it’s macro-study of Genesis to Revelation.

 

For an introduction, we start somewhere in the middle/second half of the Bible, at the book of John.

 

In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was with God in the beginning. Through him all things were made; without him nothing was made that has been made...The Word became flesh and dwelt among us and we beheld His glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:1–3, 14)

 

Notice that if we plug 'Jesus' every time we see the phrase 'the Word', it is completely consistent. In other words, the Word of God is all about Jesus. Of course, sometimes we are unable to see that because we have not yet learnt (or even read, haha) that part of the Bible, but that's where we're gonna work together to learn about some truths about God's word.

 

For example: do you know that the genealogy (Adam father of this guy, father of that guy...) from Adam to Noah talks about the gospel? Do you know that the armour of God refers to Jesus? Do you know that Holy Communion brings healing?
